James E. Moore, P.E.

James E. “Jim” Moore, PE was a man of many talents, with interests that varied from owning radio stations to fire protection and electrical engineering.  One of his proudest achievements was inventing the first automatic phone dialer for alarm systems. Jim served in WWII as an Army Air Force Officer and pilot, and in 1955, he started J&M Electronic Engineering, which still operates today.  Jim was the 5th President of the Austin-San Antonio SFPE Chapter, and is remembered for his focus on growing chapter membership.  Beloved as a husband, father and grandfather, Jim was born on January 6, 1921 in Clarksville, Texas and passed on August 16, 2010 at the age of 89.


Jerry Fenley, P.E.

Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Fenley PE contributed to the Fire Protection Industry for 40 plus years with respect, integrity and honor while adhering to the ethics required of his duty as an Engineer. Jerry set a quality standard for always maintaining professionalism with customers, co-workers and society in general. He was beloved as a husband, father and grandfather.  Jerry was born June 8, 1937, in Borger, Texas and passed on March 13, 2014, at home in Lago Vista, TX at the age of 76.
