NFPA 13 and 20 Code Updates: Significant Changes

Program:
NFPA 13 and NFPA 20 Code Updates: The presentation will inform consultants, engineers, contractors, designers, and fire and building code officials about significant changes in two key fire protection standards. Keeping up-to-date on such changes is a crucial part of continuing education and helps promote designs and installations that are compliant with the latest standards.
UPDATES TO NFPA 13 - 2022
The presentation will include an explanation of the changes to the 2022 edition of NFPA 13, as compared to the 2019 edition, including installation, discharge, residential, and hanging & bracing requirements, focusing on offering an understanding of the technical committee's reasons for these changes.
UPDATES TO NFPA 20 - 2022
This presentation will an explanation of the changes to the 2022 edition of NFPA 20, including extensive new provisions regarding variable speed pumps; revised definitions; new requirements for automated monitoring, inspection, and testing; pumps installed outdoors; refill rates in tall buildings; multistage multiport pumps; and batteries used with diesel engines.
